Day Three - Weight Loss Challenge

It's New Years Eve - where did the year go?  I have been faithfully working out for three days.  I know its only five minutes, but it is working...I am feeling confident that I can do this and know that you can too.  Today is your day to make it happen for you.

This morning, I finally had a chance to watch the movie - Eat Pray Love.  This is just one of those movies that will change your life.  After watching it, I felt that I had broken pieces in my life that needed to be mended and was in desperate need of a vacation.  I believe that 2011 is going to be a year of new beginnings.

Happy New Year!  God bless you!

I love taking pictures - here is one of my favorite photos from the garden. It even has a bee pollinating the flower. I made it my blog picture.

Day Two - Weight Loss Challenge

It's the second day and I am still motivated...this is a good sign. I was actually excited to do my five minutes of exercise today. With the new year coming, I am concentrating on not procrastinating, which is my new years resolution.  I have been procrastinating for the longest time about losing weight and writing.  With this blog, I am beginning to conquer both things...hoping to encourage you along my journey.  This blog is not only about losing weight, but it is about living life and enjoying it.  I am new to blogging, so bear with me...

Day One - Weight Loss Challenge

Today is my first day of my challenge to lose weight.  I have been overweight now-on and off-for the past thirteen years.  My biggest battle started when I became pregnant.  I gained fifty pounds with my first baby.  It took me almost seven years to start losing and then I became pregnant with my second child.  Before I knew it, I was 200 pounds and had become diabetic.  I am starting this challenge by exercising five minutes today, for the first week. Just trying to get in a routine...I have time for five minutes. Are you up for the challenge?  It may not seem like much, but it is a start.  Don't think about how much weight you have to lose, just concentrate on today and you are one step closer.  Also, if you are starting a workout routine for the first time, you should consult your doctor before getting started.
