Brie, Just found your site. Where are you Maine? I am trying to get the weight off, I was snowed in and now I am in a slump. I have the bike and the treadmill. My dog needs to be walked, but ice is a problem. Maybe i feel guilty I am not walking him. I have to get into a routine and it is hard, Got some answers?? Any tips to get rolling again. yvonne
Hi Yvonne! Welcome. I actually don't live in Maine, I live in the North Carolina. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago with all the snow and ice - we see snow here from time to time. Workout routines can get kind of hum drum. I think if you working out at home - I would jazz it up a bit to make it a little more exciting...maybe pop in a workout DVD or watch something on youtube or cable to get some different ideas. I would start off slow and work your way into 30 minute workout. I started at 5 minutes a day for a week...basically targeting the areas that I need to tone, which was my stomach. I lost almost 10lbs, since the end of December. I would crack up the music, start something and wait for the ice to melt. We can chat and keep each other motivate. I hope that helps.
Hi Brie, I had a great Valentine's Day. I hope you did, too! I use my treadmill almost daily and I have a TV and a DVD player, VHS tape player and I use those to amuse myself while exercising. Too boring otherwise. I loved the Julia & Julie movie, too. Have a wonderful day!
Hi Jean! I did have a great Valentine's Day. It does help to have a little visual and noise in the background. I keep hearing about Julia & Julie - I have to see it.
Brie, this was a very interesting article wish our little town had a place indoors to walk your dog. We have been inside alot because of snow and the worst ice, Thanks for the comment.
Hi Brie, Thanks for stopping by today! Hope are getting closer to your goals. I'm trying to make some positive changes, too. No dairy, meat, or processed food for awhile... It's easier than I thought but I miss cheese! Jeanne
Thanks Jeanne! I am getting closer. That's awesome that you have eliminated those things from your diet. I have stopped eating processed foods, as well...I am eating less meat now. Feeling more energetic.
